Awards & Experiences

For over 15 years, Hitz Burton has photographed extensively throughout the United States. Hitz is currently working on a portfolio of images of the White Mountains in New Hampshire. Included in his White Mountains Portfolio, is "Winter, Pemigewasset River, Franconia Notch State Park" which was recognized for its excellence by the Eastman Kodak Company. He has also made repeated trips to portions of the American West, including several visits to the Eastern Sierra and Death Valley. His photographs have appeared in a number of photographic publications.

As a devoted landscape photographer and teacher, Hitz offers workshops to individuals and groups. Two and three-day workshops are offered throughout the year in a variety of locales throughout California and New England. All workshops will cover technical and image/print making aspects of photography. A portfolio review of each student's work is included within the price for each workshop.
